Barcheston
Barcheston, with its gently rhythmic repeat of embroidered flowers, is a delicate reworking of a Georgian original from the 18th century, complete with the same restraint commonly seen in needlework of the time. The design takes its name from the Warwickshire village long associated with the Sheldon family and their Elizabethan woven maps, some of the most extraordinary examples of tapestry-making in existence.
