Ullington Light Indigo

Inspired by an 18th Century French block printed fabric, Ullington is a stylised floral pattern of carnations and a meandering trail of leaves set on a background of small dots or pointillage – a print technique used at the time to add a soft tint of colour to the ground as well as help to stabilise the printing block. I suspect it also provided a forgiving cover for any unintended misprints.

Printed by hand, Ullington is available as both a printed linen and a wide width wallpaper.
